Collins Mrs. Lydia A. Collins, 1305 Wagner Avenue, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at her home after a long illness. Born at Afton, Wis., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Woods, she resided in Oregon for a number of years before coming to Rockford. In May, 1897, she married Richard S. Collins ar Oregon. The couple spent several years in Winnipeg, Canada, later returning to Rockford. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Thomas J. Slattery, at home, and Mrs. Richard Gordon, Belvidere; one son, Everett E. Collins, Rockford; two grand daughters, Marjorie Gordon and Eleanor Collins; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Bradley, Chicago, and two brothers, S.A. Woods, Rockford, and H.W. Woods, Santa Ana, Cal. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the McAllister-Jullian funeral home, 304 North 5th Street. The Rev. John Gordon, pastor of Second Congregational church, will officate, and burial will be in Cedar Bluff cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening. Woods of 403 South Madison Street, hied themselves to Beloit yesterday and were made happily one. Both of the principals to the union are estimable young people and have many friends in the city who will extend heartiest congratulations.
