GENERAL NOTES

She suffered all her life from a weak stomach, which was likely responsible for her disagreeable disposition. As a child she attended Cabra School until 1837, when she went to Provincial Friends' School, Lisburn, Co. Antrim. She later took charge of the house of her brother Thomas of Laurelvale, where she stayed until her marriage in 1852.
