A letter dated 2 March 1905, Montreal, Québec Canada to Mr. W.L. Sinton (WLS): "You are right, I am a descendant of the Sinton who lived in Québec in 1820. I am his oldest daughter and the only member of the family now alive. My father's name was James Christy Sinton, a son of James Christy Sinton (sic) of Cork, Ireland. He was a Quaker. He lived in Quebec till he died in 1838, leaving four children Henry, Anna Maria, Amelia and James Christy. Two died in infancy, Lucy Livingston and Johnny. I will tell you about the remaining four." (see quotes by the above names) "My mother died four years before my father, in 1834. There are Sintons in Louisville Kentucky, or there were thirty five years ago, when I lived in that city. They too, were Quakers, but finally joined the Episcopal church. The clergyman who baptized them told me this. One of their names was Anna Maria (sic)... We were all young when our parents died consequently know but little (about the families). "This leaves me, Anna Maria, the only living descendant of the family for whom you inquire, and I shall enter my eighty-third year tomorrow."
