[RFSS Jan 2011] Obituary from Wendy Cooper Francis: Pencil dated Feb. 10, 1916 Death of George B. Sinton George B. Sinton, a well known resident of this city, died Thursday morning at 6:15 oclock at the Pottsville Hospital as a result of an attack of heart trouble, he having been ill for more than a week. Deceased was born in Pottsville 55 years ago, and recently resided on Seventh St. About five years ago he met with a mishap, which resulted in the loss of his arm, when he skipped while getting from a trolley car and fell, the arm being crushed under the wheels of the car. Recently he had been employed in selling medecine. He was a prominent member of the Knights of the Golden Eagle and the Red Men for many years. The following children survive: Clara, Irvin and Jay, of Pottsville and Roy, of Birdsboro. The following sisters and brothers also survive: Mame, wife of James Wineland; Pheobe, wife of Alex Madison; Ellen, wife of Jesse Wildermuth, all of Pottsville; Rebecca, wife of George Heckman, of Illinois; Mrs. Henrietta Wineland, of Reading, and Albert Sinton, of Pottsville.
